With the iPad quickly becoming one of the biggest selling devices on the market, we had to see some good accessories coming our way as well. Thankfully, Apple has introduced different types of keyboards, a case and now the iPad Camera Connection Kit. Undoubtedly something that is going to make consumers very happy. Just about everyone uses a digital camera now. While there is clear evidence at stores and such that people are still getting their photos developed and using old school types of cameras, the majority of people have moved on to digital photography. Digital pictures are great, once you take the picture they can be accessed right away from your computer, your camera and now your iPad too.
Whether you are capturing some memorable moments from your vacation, important event, or perhaps just some pictures you took during your day, the iPad Connection Kit was designed for you as a digital camera user. With the iPad being the kind of device that wasn't intended to replace your laptop but more provide a convenient housing location for your most important things like pictures, movies, music, and did I say pictures? It seems like family photographs have become just about everyone's most prized possessions that they store. What's great about the iPad is that it gives you that large, vibrant big screen that can really make those images pop. Digital technology has come a long way and it is really paying off. Could you have imagined us being able to store, share, and upload pictures in the blink of an eye only seconds after you took them? Surely no one saw anything this amazing coming anytime soon and with gadgets like the iPad making their usability more efficient we will be seeing more of them in the future ensuring that your iPad is going to be a piece of the puzzle in technology that will last. It is unlikely that there will be a device that comes to surpass what the iPad has accomplished anytime soon. This has been assuring to know that our investment in the iPad was well worth the troubles of tightening our budget so that we could be one of the first to get our hands on the device. However we were not alone in this decision because all over the United States the iPad has been selling more devices than Apple could have ever predicted. They have sold so many iPads that they have delayed production for international buyers until they can catch up on the demands in the United States.
The iPad Camera Connection Kit is the ultimate accessory to give you the kinds of plug ins that most digital cameras and digital recorders use in order to transfer pictures and videos. The majority of digital devices will operate transfers through the use of a USB cable or SD card memory slot. Almost all computers of today's age have USB plug ins for exactly this type of situation, when you need to plug in something as important as your camera. Apple didn't want to leave you in the dark with this one and that's where the Camera Connection Kit comes into play. Whether you have a camera that relies on USB connection capability to transfer your files or SD cards to transfer files, there is an option for you. All you have to do is simply plug in the Camera Connection Kit to the bottom of your device, right where you normally plug in the charger in order to charge your battery. Depending on which of the connection kits you used, you will now have the ability to plug in a USB cord or an SD card to the bottom of the connection kit. If you are using the USB cord you will need to plug the other side into your digital camera. This will provide you with an active link between the two devices. When you transfer photos, they will automatically be placed in your "photos" application on the iPad.
Apple definitely managed to provide an affordable and highly efficient accessory with the Camera Connection Kit. We couldn't think of anything more important than USB and SD card functionality but that brings me to our next point...
Something we thought was really a negative aspect about this was the fact that you have to buy the Camera Connection Kit in the first place. So many other products offer USB connections straight into the device. Why did Apple not incorporate this? Well were not exactly sure. Perhaps a traditional USB plug in on the device would be to big and would have had to make the entire design more bulky and they didn't want that. That answer doesn't seem very plausible considering they make Mini USB connections that could easily plug into your camera through whatever input connection the camera has. Not to mention that Mac computers have Firewire ports. Firewire has faster transfer rates that USB, so why didn't Mac use Firewire?.. it's their signature connector and everything. Regardless, there is nothing that can be taken away from the iPad Camera Connection Kit itself, but these are some things you can question about the iPad in general. Perhaps it is just more efficient to buy the connection kits and do all of the connections this way anyhow, but to me it seems like a negative aspect to the iPad not only because it takes longer to plugin the connection kits, but it also adds more bulk to the device and brings in the possibility that I could lose the kits. Making us spend more money on something that should have been on the design of the iPad to begin with isn't gaining any additional points. However, I feel it would be unjustified to give the iPad Camera Connection Kit anything below a 10.
