Innovative iPad cases are great, because, just like the machine they were built for, they look to deliver more than the usual. For the current crop of shells for Apple's new tablet, I don't think I've ever seen anything with the versatility of the ModulR Multipurpose Cover.
Plenty of things have been written about how you can use the iPad. However, rarely have we seen the question of where it will be used addressed as intelligently as this cover does.
Want to use it on your lap or on your hand? No problem. The ModulR's elastic polymer skin cover will ably keep out dirt, nicks and scratches during handling with its protective shell wrapping the iPad along the edges and around the back. It comes with a front cover made from a similar material too, so you can close your iPad from head to toe when not in use. Even better, the shell also reduces heat transfer, keeps out wetness and provides a stronger grip.
Most iPad covers stop there. Not this, though. The case is designed to work with other ModulR accessories that you can attach to it. Items in the current lineup include a wall mount (so you can hang it in the kitchen to read recipes), a headrest mount (so the kids can watch Spongebob Squarepants in the backseat), a shoulder strap (so you can take it on the road without needing a bag) and a collapsible table stand. All these accessories can be attached and removed at will, allowing you to use the iPad without adding unnecessary parts.
The ModulR Multipurpose Cover, with the nodes along the back, is probably not the sexiest way to dress up your iPad. But the utility it provides does extend your device's functions in more ways than I ever thought a single product can do. Can't wait to see this in stores.
