iPad bags are fine for taking your tablet around during travel. If you absolutely can't use it without a Bluetooth keyboard in tow, though, your choices in iPad-specific bags suddenly dwindle down to a small number. The Waterfield iPad Wallet should count among your remaining options.
Designed as a two-in-one travel case, the container has separate internal pockets for an iPad and an Apple wireless keyboard, respectively. Both compartments are lightly-padded with non-scratch surfaces, ensuring your devices remain free from any nicks and scrapes.
The Waterfield iPad Wallet measures 12 x 9 x 1.5 inches and features impact-resistant inserts along the body for protection from bumps. A self-locking YKK zipper ensures your gear stays shut in, while a stretchable pocket around the back lets you carry other gear, such as chargers, styluses and miniature flame throwers (hey, some of you may be into that).
It comes in a choice of six colors (black, copper, flame, green, pearl and pine), with distressed brown leather sides. You can also choose to have the bag installed with D-rings (in case you have a spare strap at home) or request it be shipped with an accompanying strap. Both options cost extra, of course.
Currently on pre-order with an October 31 shipping date for the initial run, the Waterfield iPad Wallet is available for $79.
